In a world that often associates sexuality with youthfulness and overlooks the diverse experiences of older adults, confronting sexual ageism becomes imperative. It requires us to challenge ageist stereotypes, foster inclusive dialogue, and advocate for the rights and dignity of all individuals, regardless of age.

Leading the Discission was Jocelyn Smith, MSW/MPH student and graduate assistant at the SDSU Social Policy Institute. By investigating the knowledge and attitudes of emerging professionals in the health and human services sector, her research offers insights into the existing perceptions and misconceptions surrounding sexuality and aging.
