CJ DiMento oversees all staff, facilities, programs, and services at the Oceanside Public Library, a department of the City of Oceanside. Her responsibilities include managing outreach, programming, and arts and literacy initiatives. She coordinated the bid for the Oceanside CA Cultural District’s designation as one of the first fourteen cultural districts in California by the California Arts Council. Additionally, she oversaw the creation of the City of Oceanside’s first cultural plan, O’Arts: Master Plan for the Arts. She has written and implemented six National Endowment for the Arts Big Read community reading programs, along with numerous grants from the California State Library, National Endowment for the Humanities, and California Arts Council. She is also the current host of Oceanside Spectrum, a monthly talk show on KOCT that highlights local nonprofits in North County San Diego.
