Welcome to Spark-SD

What is SPARK-SD?

SPARK SD (Supporting Peers and Raising Knowledge in San Diego) is a regional peer-to-peer support network designed for anyone working with older adults. This initiative fosters connection, collaboration, and shared learning among professionals across the region who are dedicated to improving the lives of older adults. Whether you are providing hands-on care, managing services, or supporting older adults through outreach, education, or policy—SPARK SD welcomes your participation.

Why Peer Support Matters

Working in aging services can be rewarding but also challenging. SPARK-SD recognizes that professionals benefit tremendously from connecting with peers who understand their unique experiences. Research shows that peer support helps reduce burnout, promotes best practices, and builds a community of care and resilience.
