This panel will explore the role of social capital in enhancing the quality of life for older adults. Through examples of age-friendly and intergenerational efforts, the discussion will examine how communities can intentionally design programs, partnerships, and environments that foster belonging, resilience, and mutual support across the lifespan.
11:35– 12:20 PM – Lived Experience
Centering the voices of those closest to aging services, this panel focuses on the insights that emerge from lived experience. Panelists will share perspectives from caregivers, community leaders, and practitioners on what works, what is often overlooked, and how systems can be more responsive to real-world needs. The conversation will emphasize the importance of listening, co-designing, and accessibility in shaping programs, tools, and supports that reflect the realities of diverse aging experiences.
