Bio

Joel is the founder and CEO of Partner in Aging, an AI-powered platform helping families keep their aging loved ones safe and independent at home. Through its web and mobile apps, Partner in Aging guides families to create and execute personalized aging-in-place plans—ensuring older adults remain safe, healthy, and prepared for the future.

At the heart of the platform is an AI-powered Virtual Expert (VE), built with real-world expertise from geriatric physicians, registered nurses, aging care managers, grief counselors, and financial and insurance specialists. This VE provides step-by-step support to help families confidently navigate the challenges of aging at home.

Before launching Partner in Aging, Joel co-founded TOVI Health, a digital health company focused on improving employee well-being.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Joel holds a Computer Science degree from Dalhousie University and an Executive MBA from San Diego State University.
