East County Senior Seminar

CEAL was honored to partner with State Senator Brian Jones to host a Senior Seminar focused on supporting older adults and their caregivers.

Our team shared information about the Caregiver Connections program, which provides education and peer support to help caregivers feel more confident and connected in their roles. This program is made possible through a grant from the Grossmont Healthcare District, and we were grateful to have Board Member Virginia Hall join us in support.

We also introduced the Community CallHub, an initiative designed to reduce social isolation through meaningful, regular connection.

With more than 100 attendees, the seminar featured presentations on scam prevention and resources from the California Department of Insurance, Contractors State License Board, California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, and the County of San Diego, equipping older adults with the knowledge to stay safe and informed.
