Tina Gail Moraga

Bio

Tina Gail Moraga is a Master of Social Work Intern at CEAL. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Native American Studies from San Diego State University and has served as a teaching assistant in SDSU’s Department of American Indian Studies for the past three years.

Tina has worked with the Native Resource Center and is actively involved in the Indigenous community, including through the Indigenous Social Work Alliance. These experiences have shaped her commitment to culturally responsive social work and supporting individuals and families across the lifespan.

Tina’s interest in aging is also personal. Her grandparents became her legal guardians when she was three years old, shaping her appreciation for older adults and the important roles they play in families and communities. She is especially passionate about helping people maintain quality of life, connection, and well-being as they age.

In her free time, Tina enjoys spending time with her two adult children and three grandchildren, hiking and running, going to the beach, swimming, and gardening.
