Building Intergenerational HOPE for Older Adults

As the older adult population grows, so does the need to address the unique challenges that impact their well-being. The Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE) framework is a strengths-based, unifying approach that applies research on Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) across child and family-serving systems.

Built on four evidence-based building blocks, it creates a buffer against negative health impacts that counters the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), promoting well-being and resilience for all. While HOPE was developed within the context of early childhood, this webinar will broaden the scope of the HOPE framework by extending its application beyond early childhood to encompass caregivers and older adults.

SDSU’s Social Policy Institute in partnership with San Diego non-profit Serving Seniors, introduces the HOPE framework’s four evidence-based building blocks and explore how they can help buffer against adverse experiences, fostering well-being for older adults.
