Bio
Cristian Ayon is a Master of Social Work student at San Diego State University with a focus on macro practice, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive policy. As a first-generation American, Cristian brings years of experience in case management, youth support, and community-based health initiatives.
He has worked extensively with older adults who were unhoused, medically vulnerable, or navigating complex systems. Through his roles at Father Joe’s Villages and the San Diego Central Library, Cristian has provided crisis intervention, housing support, and healthcare navigation for seniors facing chronic illness and social isolation.
Cristian also has a background in behavioral support and arts-based youth development through his work at A Reason to Survive (ARTS) and Sierra Academy. He currently serves as a Program Manager and Research Assistant Supervisor at SDSU’s School of Social Work, where he supports community-based harm reduction and data-driven programming. He is passionate about aging equity, intergenerational connection, and building systems that promote dignity and resilience across the lifespan.
