Did you know that people with strong social ties tend to be healthier and live longer? Studies show that only 10-20% of health outcomes are determined by medical care. What happens outside of the doctor’s office, including your behavior, genetics, and environment, play an important part.
SDSU Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity (CEAL), in partnership with Wellcare by Health Net, developed the Wellness Club. We want to inform, engage, and empower older adults and their caregivers to improve overall health and well-being. To learn more, join us on December 13, from 11 a.m. – 12 noon PST, for a virtual Wellness Club event. Interactive sessions include understanding the ABCD’s of Medicare, home safety tips, chair-based exercises, and the benefits of intergenerational programs. Click here to register.
