Vicki L. Shepard Receives NASW Pioneers Award

SDSU distinguished alumni Vicki L. Shepard (’73, social work, ’74, MSW) received the prestigious National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Pioneers Award in Washington DC on Saturday for her extensive contributions and career impact in the field of social services, aging, and policy development in health care.  Shepard, an SDSU Monty Awardee (2012) is the vice president at Tivity Health and is renowned for establishing a Rural Aging Advisory Council, Healthy Aging Coalition, and leading the Silver Sneakers initiative.
