As our population ages, we face both challenges and opportunities in promoting the well-being of older adults and their caregivers. These changes will impact our economy, the communities we live in, and how society finances these shifts. The Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity (CEAL) is dedicated to identifying and developing innovative solutions to these challenges, ensuring that everyone can experience a life of healthy longevity.

Our Mission

To bridge academia with government, business, and the community to meet the current and emerging challenges of healthy aging across the lifespan.

Our Vision

CEAL envisions a thriving aging ecosystem, offering adaptive solutions, innovative research, and person-centered approaches to ensure fulfilling lives marked by health, equity, and opportunity.

Our Goals

This has been an exciting and transformative time at CEAL as we embarked on our inaugural strategic planning process. We have refined our mission, vision, and goals, which will serve as the foundation for our work. We outlined key initiatives that will drive meaningful progress as we collaborate with academia, healthcare providers, government agencies, local nonprofit organizations, and philanthropic partners to meet the current and emerging challenges of healthy aging throughout the lifespan.

Structured around five pivotal areas – Longevity, Age-Friendly Initiatives, Workforce Development, Research, and Policy – the CEAL Strategic Plan outlines a comprehensive approach to making an impact at local, state, and national levels. Each focus area represents a crucial aspect of our mission, guiding our efforts to address the diverse challenges of aging.
