In recognition of the growing needs of San Diego County older adults Steve Hornberger, Co-Director of SDSU’s Social Policy Institute and the Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity (CEAL), addressed the San Diego County Board of Supervisors at their October meeting.
Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer and the members of the Board issued a Proclamation commending the San Diego Senior Alliance and declared October 5, 2021 as “Senior Alliance Day” throughout San Diego County. The San Diego Senior Alliance is comprised of non-profit, for-profit, academic, and government agencies that strive to unify public policy efforts, share program information, and identify areas of synergy to better meet the needs of seniors within San Diego County.
